Her Gaze

All alone and cold as stone
With no man to call her own
Lost in a world of love
Seeking solace in the pillow she hugs

She screams through the distance between
She hates what she is too scared to see
And gazing down the deepening hole
She’s reaching out for her last bit of hope

In her mind is her secret life
Keeping all deep inside
To the north she casts her gaze
Wondering if they will meet up again
